A:AnswerAs long as your iMac supports Bluetooth, it should work fine. You do not need to connect it physically if you have access to another mouse. Turn the mouse on (switch on the bottom, slide it so the green is showing). From the menu bar, select the Bluetooth icon, then click "Bluetooth Preferences" From the Bluetooth control panel, it should appear in the lower section (circled in green) and you just click the "connect" button. If it doesn't appear, charge it for an hour, then try again.
